Temu coupons and credits: how to use the discount before it expires.

Coupons and credits are not the same thing.

They both appear on the account, but they work in different ways:

• Credit It's the balance saved in the account. It's used as a form of payment at checkout and can come from promotions, invitations, or refunds made to the app's balance.

Temu's Terms of Use treat both as rewards. Section 12 states that some rewards are only for discounts or payments on eligible purchases, that not all products are eligible, and that they cannot be redeemed for cash except where required by law. Where to find what you already have

Before hunting for a new coupon, check your account. Within your app profile, you'll find a list of active coupons and your credit balance, each with its expiration date. It's worth checking this section every time you shop, because new campaigns add coupons without warning, and the checkout process doesn't always automatically apply the best one.

On each coupon, check three things: the minimum value of the request, a expiration date And whether it's restricted to a specific category or marked products. That's what determines if it goes into your cart.

How to put together the order so the discount is applied.

1. Start with what you need. Fill your cart with the items you were going to buy anyway.
2. Compare this to the minimum coupon amount. If you're close to reaching the minimum amount, complete the purchase with something useful. If you're far from it, the coupon isn't worth it.

Three situations can cause a coupon or credit to disappear:

• Expired. Each reward has its own expiration date, which is indicated in the account.
• Account closed. Section 13 states that if the account is closed for any reason, all associated rewards are lost and canceled, and recommends using them beforehand.
• Abuse. Section 3 prohibits creating multiple accounts and "abusing any promotions, discounts, or other benefits." Punishments include the cancellation of rewards and account suspension.

Credits that come from invitations

Part of Temu's credits come from referrals: you share your link and earn credit when the invited person registers or places their first order, according to the rules of that campaign. The number of invitations, the deadline, and the amount are displayed on the promotion screen. What the Terms do not allow is completing the goal with fake accounts or third-party numbers, and this is usually detected.

Credit refund: when does it happen?

The Terms guarantee free cancellation before the order is packaged and a refund after it is received. What changes is where the money is returned to. Signs of a fake coupon

• Coupon that requires registration outside of Temu. Official coupons appear within the app or on the temu.com website.
• Request for verification code via SMS. The Terms prohibit sharing the account. Whoever asks for the code wants to access it.
• “"Sale" of credit or exchange via Pix. Temu credit cannot be converted into cash, except where required by law, and buying credit from third parties is a sure way to fall victim to fraud.

Common questions

Can I use a coupon and credit on the same order?

Generally, credit is used as payment and coupons as discounts, so both may appear together. The rules of each coupon may limit this, and the checkout will show what has been accepted.

Why wasn't my coupon applied?

It's almost always the minimum value not being met, the expiration date having passed, or products not being on the eligible list. Section 12 of the Terms reminds us that not all products are eligible.

Can I withdraw my credit balance?

No, except in jurisdictions where the law requires it. According to the Terms, rewards can be used for discounts or payments on eligible purchases at Temu itself.

Will my credits be transferred to another account?

No. The account cannot be transferred without Temu's permission, and the rewards are locked to it. If the account is closed, they are lost.
