Free clothes and items at SHEIN: the 2 official programs

SHEIN has two official programs that offer free items and real discounts. See how each one works before signing up.
Where do you want to start?

Folded clothes, a cell phone, and delivery boxes are laid out on a light-colored table.

You can leave SHEIN with a new item without using your card — but not in the way shown in the videos. Earn R$ 500 in clothing. They promise. The store maintains. two official programs, both with rules published on their own website: a Free Trial, which sends free products to those selected to write a review, and the SHEIN Points, who saw a direct discount on the cart.

Neither of these methods relies on WhatsApp group links, registration on third-party websites, or third-party apps. Both take place within the app store's own application, have deadlines, limits, and selection criteria—and it's precisely those who know the rules who get ahead. This guide summarizes both paths and takes you through each one step-by-step.

Up to 3 applications per week

SHEIN publishes a list of products available for testing. You can sign up for up to three per week, and if you are chosen, the item arrives at your home with shipping paid by the store.

The review is the payment.

The recipient has 10 days to send a report with a full-body photo and two close-up photos. Once this is done, the item is theirs—there are no returns.

Each 100 points are worth US$ 1

Points are earned through daily check-ins, order reviews, games, live streams, and purchases themselves. They appear in "My Points" within your account.

Ceiling of 30% of the order

Points can be used to offset up to 30% of the product value. Shipping, taxes, and fees are not included in this calculation and remain your responsibility.

Why do so many people register and never get selected?

The Free Trial is not a blind lottery. SHEIN itself explains that the selection is made by an automated system that looks at the account history: whether the person is a potential buyer, how much they have already purchased, and how they performed in previous trials. An account created yesterday, without any orders or reviews, is at a disadvantage compared to someone who has already submitted a report on time.

Add to that the volume. Popular games can attract tens of thousands of applicants, and the number of winners per week is limited. Therefore, the game isn't won with a single entry: it's won by building a history that the system recognizes—and that's where points come in, because they are the part that... no It doesn't depend on any kind of draw.

What really works in your favor?

Historical, not a new story.

Accounts with previous applications and well-rated test results are given more weight in the selection process. Creating extra accounts to try again is prohibited and will disqualify both.

A full review is worth more.

Text within the countdown earns 5 points, a photo adds 10, and size information adds 2. A review marked as high quality earns a bonus.

Check-in pays off every day

The daily check-in on the app has a limit of 100 points per day. It's not much at a time, but it's the only source that doesn't depend on purchases or being drawn in a lottery.

Confirming delivery unlocks the rest.

Purchase points and the right to rate only appear after you mark the order as received in My Orders. Many people forget this step.

What is advertised as free but is not.

The name SHEIN is one of the most commonly used in scam messages in Brazil, and almost always with the same script. It's worth recognizing the three formats before clicking:

  • High-value coupon in group link: The store distributes coupons within the app and on its official website. A link received in a group chat asking you to register on another page is not from the store.
  • Giveaway that asks for sharing: No official program requires you to forward the message to ten contacts to unlock the prize. The Free Trial is applied for within the app, period.
  • Page that asks for credit card information to unlock the gift: The Free Trial does not charge for shipping or require payment to send the prize. Any screen asking for a card to unlock a free item is fraudulent.

The caveat regarding shipping costs.

It's worth mentioning what almost no one says: the shipping for the Free Trial is paid for by the store, but Import duties are the responsibility of the recipient.. If the package is taxed, you are responsible for paying it — and failure to pay will affect your eligibility for future exams.

Common questions

Does SHEIN really send clothes for free?

Send it, through the Free Trial, to those selected to write a product review. It's not for everyone who signs up: the number of winners per week is limited and the selection takes into account the winner's history.

Do I need to return the item after it has been evaluated?

No. According to the store's own help center, the product is yours after the review is successfully submitted. Those who don't submit the report keep the item, but it harms their chances in future rounds.

How much is a point worth in the shopping cart?

Every 100 points equals a US$ discount, and the total discount reaches 30% off the value of the products in the order. Shipping, taxes, and fees are not included in this calculation.

Do points expire?

Yes, and that's the most common mistake. The validity period varies depending on the point's origin, ranging from 7 days to 3 months, and some last longer. The system uses up those that expire sooner first.

Is it possible to accumulate points without ever making a purchase?

It works, but at a slow pace. Confirming your email on your profile earns you 100 points once, and daily check-ins are capped at 100 points per day. Purchases and order reviews are what really speed things up.

The two paths complement each other: points reduce the value of your order every month, and each paid order builds the history that the Free Trial system looks at when choosing who receives a free item. Start with what's already available in your account today.
